The Bowler Bag started with a vision: a functional yet nostalgic piece that fit seamlessly into the Peachy wardrobe. Our first sample, inspired by a vintage Slazenger gym bag, felt too boxy, so on our sketching day we refined the shape—adding structured sides, piping, and zip details while keeping a soft central panel for that effortless, slouchy feel.

We kept elements we loved—stitching, trims, and structured handles—while making crucial adjustments to improve wearability. The goal was a bag that collapsed naturally under the arm yet maximized storage. Subtle details, like a stitched base logo and debossed zip pulls, added an IYKYK touch for Peachy girls.

Functionality was key. The bag was designed to transition from work to the gym and even fit under an airline seat (yes, we checked the measurements). We added an elasticated laptop sleeve, a secure pocket, and a D-ring for keys—because no one wants to dig around at the bottom of their bag. After fittings and real-life wear tests, we reinforced the base for durability, making it a true everyday essential.

Once the Bowler Bag was perfected, we introduced The Mini Bowler Bag—a smaller, evening-ready version with the same curved shape. This paparazzi photo of Kate Moss was our inspiration image.

We did calculations in house to determine each measurement once scaled, and then drew the flat pieces on some spare PU. We cut and stuck them with masking tape to check we were happy with the size before launching a sample.

By scaling down the design, adjusting strap lengths, and keeping functionality in mind, we created a second must-have silhouette.
